Requirements & Classification

LEGAL COMPLIANCE Level 1 Level 2 Level 3
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, national, and International laws and regulations.
Appointment of a compliance responsible person.
Engage in regular internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
Obtain relevant certifications to demonstrate commitment to legal compliance and ethical business practices.
SUSTAINABLE SOURCING Level 1 Level 2 Level 3
Prioritize the use of regional and organic products and services, supporting local producers, and reducing the environmental impact of transportation.
Prioritize working with suppliers that adhere to sustainable and ethical practices, including responsible sourcing, fair trade, and transparency in the supply chain.
Engage in partnership with suppliers to drive sustainability initiatives across the supply chain.
Set specific targets for the percentage of sustainable products and services in the procurement process.
Collaborate with partners to jointly develop sustainable sourcing. practices.
Establish a traceability system for supply chain transparency and accountability.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY Level 1 Level 2 Level 3
Development and Integration of sustainability strategy/policy.
Organise training sessions to employees to enhance the understanding of CSR/Sustainability.
Demonstrate commitment to energy efficiency, including energy-saving measures, such as energy-efficient lighting, HVAC systems, and renewable energy sources.
Appointment of a sustainability representative.
Implement waste management practices, including recycling, waste reduction efforts, and proper waste disposal practices.
Implement water management strategies to optimize water usage and minimize environmental impacts.
Operate using green electricity, sourced from renewable energy providers.
Achieve specific targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and resource consumption.
Ensure that at least 20% of the company’s fleet of cars consists of electric vehicles (E-Cars) to reduce carbon emissions.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Level 1 Level 2 Level 3
Respect human rights and provide fair and safe working conditions for employees.
Collaborate with stakeholders to drive positive social impacts and foster sustainable livelihoods.
Engage in community development projects to address specific social challenges.
Ensure fair and ethical treatment of suppliers, including adherence to fair trade principles.
Support local communities and contribute to their economic and social development.
Implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to promote equality and equal opportunities
Signature of the ECOperama Code of Conducts or own Code of Conduct is available.
TRANSPARENCY AND REPORTING Level 1 Level 2 Level 3
Provide transparency in business operations and practices.
Disclose relevant information regarding sustainability Initiatives, projects, corporate fair practices.
Regularly review and update sustainability practices.
Creation of CO2 Footprint.
Set specific targets and KPIs to rack sustainability performance (e.g. GHG reduction or neutrality targets
Publish sustainability reports yearly (ESG, Annual Sustainability Report, etc.)
Develop and implement an environmental management system (ISO 14001 or EMAS) to monitor and reduce environmental impacts.

 

An inclusion in the Supplier Tool of Coperama is only possible if the supplier meets the minimum requirements of Ecoperama and achieves appropriate classification.

Requirements & Classification

Level 1 — small supplier with less than 5 employees or a maximum yearly volume on Coperama until 30.000 EUR. Minimum criteria for a listing – If these criteria are not met, admission is not possible. Level 2 und 3 are also achievable.

Level 2 — medium suppliers with 6-150 employees or a yearly volume on Coperama between 30.000 EUR and 250.000 EUR. Minimum criteria for a listing – If these criteria are not met, admission is not possible. Level 3 is also achievable.

Level 3 — big suppliers with more than 150 employees or a yearly volume more than 250.00 EUR on Coperama. Minimum criteria for a listing – If these criteria are not met, admission is not possible.
